Hamptons Restaurant Week, Dining for $19.95, and Cheap Rooms, Too
March 6, 2005
Section: TRAVEL

The annual Hamptons Restaurant Week is becoming a bigger deal. This year, not only will most East End restaurants be serving specials April 3-10 but many of the area's hotels, motels and inns will, too.

This is the third annual restaurant week event, and at least 80 establishments are participating.

All week long, most of the area's restaurants - including some of the East End's toniest - will be serving three-course dinners for $19.95. (The exception is April 9, when the prix fixe will be available only from 6 to 7 p.m.) Some restaurants will be promoting $19.95 bottles of Long Island wine as well.

People who want to stay for two or maybe three dinners (each restaurant will be making its own menu selections) will find that many hotels and motels are offering a third night's stay free.

Others are offering discounted room rates. The Inn Spot on the Bay in Hampton Bays is offering 50 percent off rooms during restaurant week. At the 1770 House in East Hampton (pictured above), queen rooms will be $129 a night (plus tax and service) and king rooms $179. The Enclave Inn in Southampton (other locations in Bridgehampton and Wainscott) has a special rate of $50 per guest per night during the week.

For the list of hotels, restaurants, wineries and shops participating see www.hamptonsrestauranteweek.com.
