$21.95 Prix Fixe All Over the East End!
2007

Has hibernation left your bellies growling for some tasty grub? Well…spring is in the air, and you’re in luck! The Fifth Annual Hamptons Restaurant Week is here once again. No need to break the piggy bank, or cash in your tax returns, this is something everyone can afford.

The winter season allowed businesses to take a moment and breath, and now it’s time to kick into high gear once again. Summer is just around the corner and with it will come the crowds. Soon restaurants will have a two-month waiting list, hotels will put up “no vacancy” signs and retail stores won’t be able to keep the hottest new accessories on the shelves. Hamptons Restaurant Week is the perfect opportunity to enjoy our local hot spots before the season takes off and at bargain prices!

The event begins Sunday, March 25 and continues thru Sunday, April 1. Participating restaurants will offer a three-course prix fixe at $21.95 all night long, except Saturday, when it will only be available until 7 p.m. Each restaurant offers its own unique menu. The week allows every night to be a birthday celebration or a holiday get together, no need to wait for your 25 wedding anniversary to experience fine dining on the East End. Mark Smith, owner of Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton states, “One of the reasons we do it is to be able to showcase the restaurant to people who normally wouldn’t come. It’s an opportunity, at those prices, to expose a lot more people to it.” Martin Ligorner, of Amagansett says “We have to starve ourselves for a week before we can go eat.”

Hamptons Restaurant Week also offers you a chance to taste some of the East End’s local wines at bargain prices. Select participating restaurants are offering the 2003 Wolffer Reserve Chardonnay; 2003 Wolffer Reserve Merlot; The Raphael 2005 Grand Cru Chardonnay; 2004 Raphael Estate Merlot; The Palmer 2005 Reserve Chardonnay; Palmer 2004 Chardonnay and the Palmer 2004 Merlot each for $21.95 a bottle. How does that phrase go? “When in Rome”… well, I think it means drink up! If you really want to stock your wine cellar head over to one of the three participating vineyards: Wölffer Estate Vineyards; Raphael Vineyards; and/or Palmer Vineyards and receive a 10% discount in the tasting rooms on the above mentioned wines.

In the doghouse from blowin’ Valentines Day? Here’s your chance to make it up that will surely get you back in good graces. Nestled among the dunes of Montauk, you’ll find a perfect destination to rekindle the romance between you and your special someone at Gurneys Inn. Priced at $149 per night enjoy ocean-view accommodations and use of the spa (might even be a good idea to get your lover a spa service if you messed up that bad on Valentine’s Day). If driving Napeague is to much of a stretch, check into one of the Dune Resorts in East Hampton. Make arrangements to stay for the night and get the second night at half price. If all goes well with your sweetheart, stay two nights and get the third night free!

Anxious to get out the minivan on your drive out to the East end, begin your Hamptons Restaurant Week celebration at the Southampton Inn. Just mentioning “HRW” will get you 10% off room rates. Sunday morning, enjoy brunch for $21.95 at the Inn’s Hill Street Café before you head back. So, make the most of this year’s Hamptons Restaurant Week and remember to book early. Bon Appetit!!
