How do I sign my business up to participate in HRW?
Click the business sign up icon on Hamptons Restaurant Week website and fill out the quick form, including payment by credit card.

I would like to participate but I don’t have a credit card?
Checks are also accepted on a case-by-case basis. Once the Hamptons Restaurant Week Executive Committee receives the check and it clears, your business will be included on all press materials and the HRW website.

Why am I paying a fee?
A participant registration fee of $295 goes straight to advertising and promotion of this event to help make it as successful as possible. This is separate from the time invested by WordHampton Public Relations to publicize the event editorially. WordHampton does not make any money on this event. Our goal is to optimize turnout for participating businesses in a way that creates community goodwill and builds economic development for East End businesses. For the past five years, ads have run in New York Times, Long Island Pulse, The Independent, East Hampton Star, Dan’s Papers, Southampton Press, Suffolk Times/News Review, Beach/EHM Radio, WVVH TV.

Do I have to pay a fee if I have two businesses?
To be fair, all businesses with two or more categories must fill out a sign up form and pay the $295 fee for each entity. That is, if you own a restaurant and inn or if you own two restaurants, you must fill out one form for each entity and pay the $295 fee for both, totaling $590.

Why should I participate?
In the past five years of HRW, restaurateurs experienced a surge in business before the start of "high" season. Some reported a business increase of more than 50% during the promotion. HRW was designed to garner positive publicity and additional business for Hamptons restaurants and has since expanded to include lodging, wineries, retail shops, recreation and transportation outfits, spas and other businesses. Last year there were over 150 participants offering patrons over 150 places to eat, drink, sleep, shop, spa and entertain themselves!

When will my business be included on the website?
The HRW website is updated regularly. Your business will be listed within a few days after you sign up.

I own a restaurant, how do I get in contact with participating vineyards?
You will receive a list of participating vineyards, their offers and contact information a few weeks prior to the event to make sure you have the most up-to-date list. Vineyards will also receive a list of participating restaurants.

I own a restaurant, am I allowed to offer wines at a reduced rate if they are not on the participating list for HRW?
Absolutely. You can offer whatever discount you would like. We just ask for participating vineyards’ wines to be offered at $24.95 (if you choose to collaborate with them) and the $24.95 prix fixe (with at least 3 choices of appetizers, 3 choices of entrees, and 3 choices of dessert).

When is the deadline to participate in HRW?
There is no deadline to participate in HRW. However, to ensure your business is included in the complete promotional campaign, it is best to sign on by Monday, February 16th, 2008.

How do I submit the HRW offer my business will be promoting?
The HRW Executive Committee will send out offer forms for vineyards, lodging and other retail outlets to submit their HRW offer. Offers should be submitted by Monday, February 23rd to ensure inclusion in all HRW documents. You may submit your offer by emailing megan@wordhampton.com or faxing your offer to (631) 727-6106.

Can I change my HRW offer after I submit it?
Yes. However, we can only accept changes in offers before Monday, March 2nd. The reason for this is because we send out numerous lists to media, participants and diners daily and it becomes tedious to notify them of changes.

When should I offer my HRW promotion?
For participants who are not a restaurant (i.e. lodging, vineyard, retail, transportation etc.) a discount MUST be offered during the Hamptons Restaurant Week dates (March 29 - April 5).
